Dry Black lemon also known as Black lime, it’s a lime that has lost its water content, usually after having spent most of its drying time in the sun. It is developed in Somalia, Oman, Egypt and have become essential ingredients in the cooking of the Persian Gulf states. They taste sour and citrusy like a lime but they also have earthy and smoky taste and lack the sweetness of fresh limes. It is used to add sour flavor to dishes.
